Proposal 

In December 2024, Tyler suggested they go watch the sunset—an idea that immediately raised eyebrows, since sunsets were never really his thing. Still, Rachel agreed, and together they loaded up the kids and headed to Back Channel, walking the beach all the way down to Tunnels Point. It was a stormy day, the kind where a sunset seemed unlikely. But just as they rounded the corner, the clouds parted and the sky opened up, revealing a quiet, unexpected beauty. Rachel wandered down to the shoreline to look for shells while Tyler waited near their things, heart pounding. Moments later, Tyler called Rachel back, telling her he needed to ask her something. As she walked toward him, he looked at her—holding back tears—and said the words that would change everything: “Rachel, will you marry me?” Rachel immediately burst into tears and said “yes” without hesitation. They sat down together, taking in the moment, while the kids played happily in the water in front of them. Against the odds, on a stormy day turned perfect, it became a memory they will cherish for the rest of their lives.
