Reuben and Rachel grew up on the same road in Lavington BC.

Their mothers had tea times together and the family's kept in touch as the years flew by.

Rachel was home schooled up until she went to VCS in grade 10, the same school Reuben and his sisters attended.

By grade 12 Reuben was asking Rachel out on walks and finally asked to be her grade date, Rachel said she would consider him as a candidate.

After Highschool they fell out of touch as they both went their separate ways, Rachel went on a Missions trip to Europe and Reuben stayed home to finish schooling and later moved to Alberta to pursue his career as a Heavy Duty Mechanic.

Over the next few years Rachel would house sit and take care of Reuben's family's farm while they were away.

In 2017 while Rachel was taking care of the Smid's farm one night she was in the chicken coop when Reuben yelled, "Hey Mark quit F*cking with the chickens!"

Rachel was startled as she didn't realize anyone was at the farm, it turned out Reuben was home from Alberta for the weekend partying with his friends at his parents farm, typical!

After Reuben asked Rachel if she would come join him that evening for a fire with his friends, she agreed.

But, true to his forgetful self, Reuben forgot to keep in touch after leaving for Alberta. Lucky for him, Rachel double texted him, and they've been together for over seven years now.
