What's the weather going to be like?
Historically speaking, late April in Lisbon is typically in the mid-60s, so be sure to pack a jacket!
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
We are having an intimate ceremony and reception with our closest friends and family. Due to our guest list being limited, the name(s) on your invitation are the only invitees at this time. Please check your RSVP to confirm if a plus one has been allotted.
What's the best way to get to the venue?
We suggest taking the train from downtown directly to the Estoril train stop. We also suggest booking an Uber or Taxi to take you to and from the venue.
What ways are there to get around the city?
Like any major city, you can get most places by foot! Bring your best walking shoes and take in all the views that Lisbon has to offer.
There are trolly cars that run throughout Lisbon, but Uber is super convenient and affordable. Most rides cost less than $10 USD to travel 20min. Another fun option is finding a Tuk Tuk driver to take you around!
What's the currency in Portugal?
Euros! Many places around take Visa in case you're someone who doesn't typically carry cash. Most airports have currency exchange areas to trade USD for Euros.
Do I need an International Driver's License if renting a car?
Nope! As long as you have a valid US Driver's License, then you'll be good to go! We do recommend booking ahead of time if you plan on renting a car.
I don't know Portuguese... Will I be able to communicate?!
Portugal is very English friendly! Don't stress, majority of the population knows English. Most signage is in both, Portuguese and English.
Is there anything else I should know?
Be sure to check when your passport expires! You must have at least three months left before the expiration date in order to be let into Portugal. You will also need to apply for an EITAS Visa to enter the country. The cost is 7 Euros- more information can be found on the travel page.
