No, we won't have any alcohol, but we will have a root beer bar! The venue has also requested that guests refrain from bringing their own alcohol to the wedding.
Is there anything I should know if I plan on bringing kids?
For dinner, we will only be providing the entrees listed in the RSVP (Baked Ziti and Chicken Marsala) and some kid-friendly appetizers. If you do not think your kid will find these options acceptable, we ask that you plan to bring a meal for them, as we are unable to accommodate alternatives.
We have also been asked to inform anyone with kids that kids are not allowed in or near the pond next to the ceremony site.
Is there anything I should know about the venue?
The venue will be outdoors for the ceremony and under a covered pavilion for the reception if weather permits.
The venue has asked us to inform guests that no one is permitted on the other side of the pond by the woods nor are they permitted in the butterfly garden.
What is the dress code?
We are asking guests to dress in semi-formal attire. Women may want to wear sandals or non-stiletto heels as some wedding activities take place on the grass. Please no jeans, sweats, or tennis shoes.
Any hotel suggestions?
We have a hotel block set up with the Holiday Inn in Troy at $116/night for a Thursday and/or Friday night stay at the following link: https://tinyurl.com/trudeau-hostetler-hotel . We have booked 15 rooms initially. If no more rooms are available, please call the Holiday Inn at 937-332-1700 and ask for Tracy Jones. If you mention the "Trudeau Hostetler Wedding Block", she will be able to book an additional room for you at the original block rate. The rooms will be released from the block rate on May 28th, so please book your room before then.
