Rachel: Scuba Diving....It was the picture I paused on...Daniel diving with a whale shark (a WHALE SHARK!) behind him! It looked like he was IN the GA Aquarium which I didn’t even know was a thing. “How awesome was that?!” I commented.... the rest is history. He fell for me hook, line, and sinker;).
Daniel: SHE reached out to ME first. I happened to notice her comment as I was getting ready to fly back to Atlanta and made a couple quick comments before the door closed. Then as the plane was taxing we got stopped for what turned out to be an hour and a half rain delay. So I to texted her and soon we were in a witty conversation. She loved my sense of humor and I think was surprised that I was as goofy as she was! I asked her out to dinner and she couldn’t resist my charm....the rest is history.
Something we agree on: Our first date was at Bonefish Grill and after a delicious dinner we decided to have one more drink and stay a little longer...but what seemed like 30 minutes later was apparently two hours later! We paused our conversation and realized the chairs were up on all the tables around us and there wasn’t another customer in sight. The restaurant had closed and we hadn't even noticed! The last few staff members were hanging out at the bar and never rushed us or clued us in. We could not believe that we had talked so long and gotten lost in our own little world....how do you not notice chairs being put up right beside you? It felt like it was right out of a movie!
Daniel lived by Piedmont Park when we met and we had many fun adventures there! We love how inviting it is and that something is always going on. One day we were walking in the park with our coffee and happened upon a health expo with fun activities. We decided to go to battle in the bouncy balls and as cheesy as it sounds, I look back at this memory as a turning point of when we started to ”fall” in love....sorry, I couldn’t resist!
We both thought Park Tavern would be the perfect spot for our wedding because this park is where we spent many dates and created many wonderful memories.
