Tom and Rachel met in print making class at UNC in 2012, their first “date” was a trip to Wolf Creek where Tom survived skiing with Rachel and her best friend Kendra. Rachel moved to Vail to complete her student teaching and Tom moved to Summit to continue the Saunders Detective Agency legacy. After many trips over Vail Pass Tom and Rachel both moved to Breckenridge where they would make some of the best sketchy friends two ski bums could ask for. They eventually found themselves with careers, a mortgage, and a perfect pooch Red. In April of 2020 Tom and Rachel found themselves cementing their common law marriage in their kitchen followed by socially distant beers by the river with friends. In April of 2021 Rachel convinced Tom to throw a beach party at Abasin to celebrate their two year “wedding” anniversary.
