Rachel and Colin met September 2020 in Columbia, SC at a Gamecock football watch party. While 2020 was a whirlwind, it held so much good; It was the year they graduated college, got jobs, and found each other. Colin asked Rachel to play tennis shortly before Christmas, and what followed was a single dinner date before they both went away to spend Christmas and New Years with family. They were both so excited to return to Columbia to continue getting to know one another. Several months of tennis, dinners, and late night porch talks led to them falling in love. They dated long-distance for 2 years when Rachel moved to Greenville, SC for graduate school and Colin stayed in Columbia, SC for work. This distance only grew their love and longing for each other. In June of 2023, Colin moved to Greenville, SC, where both of them currently live. Colin privately proposed to Rachel on Sassafras Mountain on her 26th birthday, March 13th, 2024. Currently, they are enjoying this season of life that allows them to hike, bike, and play as much tennis together as they want, while also planning their life and marriage together! They can’t wait to celebrate their big day with friends and family.
