Rae and Jacob met in the Fall of 2022! They met in a class they were in together at Austin College. Rae was a Freshman, and Jacob, a Sophomore. They sat right next to each other in class, but did not talk because Jacob was too nervous to talk to her. However, things changed on the day of the first quiz. It was a geography quiz, and Jacob went into the classroom and told everyone good luck and Rae got excited about the quiz, and it was the first thing they spoke about. Jacob was enamored by her, and by the end of the following class, he asked her if she wanted to go to an early dinner together. A couple months went by before Jacob grew the courage to ask her out, but he did just that on November 5th, 2022. The two began dating, soon fell in love, and within seven months, Jacob proposed to Rae in the Summer of 2023, and she said yes! They decided to wait until Jacob was out of school and had been working for about a year before they got married, and that day is just around the corner! They have always made sure that Christ is the center of their relationship, and they both understand that they could not love each other without His example. As they prepare to embark on the next chapter of their journey in marriage, they are very excited to share the beginning of their forever with you all on the 20th of December!

Jacob and Rae met in the fall semester at Austin College in 2022. Although Rae sat literally right next to him on the first day of class, she unfortunately did not notice him at all -- oh, how that would change. It wasn't until almost a month later on a September afternoon that they sparked up their first conversation, and how fitting that it was about a geography test... Rae thought this guy was uber cool (really cause he liked geography too), and when he asked her out to lunch, she said yes! The more she learned about him, the more entranced she became... What a wonderful man she had met! Rae tried to find any way to spend more time with him; inviting him to a movie night, asking him to take her grocery shopping, suggesting study dates... eventually she built up the courage to invite him to a sort of date-adjacent event (as if he didn't get the hint already): the Dia de Los Muertos festival! She sent out the text, but to her dismay he was busy.... UNTIL (add suspension) his schedule suddenly cleared up! Jacob picked her up in his Chevrolet and they drove off into the sunset (it was actually to Denison and it was like 8:30 pm). Little did she know that he was planning to ask her to be his girlfriend! So exciting! She had to say yes, after all, she couldn't pass up a dream come true.

Ever since then they've been practically joined by the hip, and, with the Lord's guidance, their small passions have turned into one big flame of true love, joy, and serenity. They're so grateful that they can share this love with you, and how blessed they are to celebrate it with you this December.
