Our story begins with a cancelled Greta Van Fleet concert in the spring of 2022. Lexie Grogan, Brandon's friend from college, and Raegan's friend from law school, was planning to introduce the two at the concert.

Despite the cancelled concert, Brandon decided to spend the newly freed weekend in Dallas to visit his friends. And Lexie convinced Raegan to make a trip down to Dallas as part of her plot.

After a weekend of games, not sitting together at a hockey game, and nervous conversations, the two starting talked on the phone. During one of those conversations, Raegan brought up an upcoming law school event called Law Prom to see if Brandon would want to come. (Although she secretly was hoping he already had plans because she was so nervous.) And although Brandon did have plans, he busted them wide open and jumped at the chance to spend some time with Raegan.

Shortly after Law Prom, they started dating long distance between Dallas and Norman. A typical weekend involved one of them roadtripping on a Friday to see the other. They would spend their time playing pickleball, studying, trying new restaurants, hiking, and running.

On March 17 2024, Brandon surprised Raegan by proposing to her at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado. Raegan and Brandon were in Golden to spend some time with Raegan's parents. Raegan's mom had told her that the group was going to go for a walk at Red Rocks later that afternoon. Raegan had no idea what was going on and was totally on board with every part of the plan until the group arrived at the trailhead. Raegan's parents started walking without them down the trail while Brandon "went to the bathroom," leaving Raegan very confused because she thought it was a family walk. Once they started down the trail, Raegan walked very fast ahead of Brandon to try to catch up to her parents. Brandon finally caught up, grabbed her arm, and nervously started to tell her how he loved her and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. He got down on one knee, and once Raegan realized what was happening, she gave him a teary-eyed and excited yes! The rest of the night was spent celebrating with Raegan's parents, and Brandon's parents who had flown in for the surprise!

Since the engagement, Raegan graduated law school and moved to Dallas, finally bringing long distance dating to an end!

Raegan and Brandon can't wait to officially start their lives together by celebrating with their friends and family!
