Our Wedding

We met online late 2020, during a time when the world felt a little upside-down. With nearly everything shut down, our first date was a simple drive around my hometown. A couple of hours into getting to know each other, my car broke down, turning our easygoing day into something a bit more memorable. We handled it together with patience, laughter, and the kind of teamwork you don’t usually find on a first date. It wasn't the type of date either of us had imagined, but that set the tone for our relationship: roll with the punches as a team.

Our Beginning- December 2020

After that first date, I drove to Ames nearly every weekend for 2 years. After Jarhett graduated from ISU in 2022, we found a rental home together in Ottumwa and he started teaching at Pekin while I finished my degree at Buena Vista. In 2023, I graduated college and joined him at Pekin. We worked together for 1.5 years and loved being able to pick on each other from only 3 doors down.

Our Time at Pekin 

Jarhett proposed on the Berg property, which is where he asked me to be his girlfriend four years earlier. It was the most thoughtful and meaningful proposal; it was the easiest "Yes" of my life.

We kindly ask guests to join us in semi-formal attire. You don’t need to be overly fancy—just dressy enough for a celebration. Cocktail dresses, dressy skirts, jumpsuits, or suits and dress shirts are perfect. Wear something you feel confident and comfortable in!
