Have you ever experienced love at second sight? That’s exactly what happened to Camille! She fell for Rainier the second time she laid eyes on him during their prom practice. Back then, they barely knew each other. They were just dance partners—a Senior and a Junior—introduced in 2012. Everything changed the day after prom when Rainier messaged Camille, “May nakalimutan pala akong sabihin sayo kahapon. Ganda mo!” She was shocked—and thrilled! Just like that, their love story began. From then on, they were inseparable, texting and calling nonstop. They officially became a couple on April 10, 2012. But here’s a fun detail: even though they made it official that day, Rainier wanted to hear it from Camille in person, so he came over the next day. That’s why they celebrate their monthsaries on both April 10 and 11—it’s like getting double the love! Fast forward a bit, they both ended up at UST, graduating together in 2017. After college, they embraced new adventures, traveling, getting lost in different cities and diving into different cultures. Each trip brought them closer, allowing them to explore the world together and deepen their connection even more. Now, after almost 14 amazing years, they’re finally tying the knot! Both of them are excited for this next chapter, ready to build a future filled with love and laughter. Their journey is just beginning, and they can't wait to see what comes next!

THE PROM THAT SPARKED 'FOREVER'

If you know Camille, you know she is a curious cat—she couldn’t rest until she uncovers the truth! So, early in 2023, Camille's friends began asking, “When are you and Rainier getting engaged?” After 11 years together, she was starting to wonder too! One of her friends confidently said, “Tingin ko sa Japan!”. With their New Year’s trip to Tokyo just around the corner, her friend was convinced this was it. As the trip got nearer, Camille turned into a detective, scanning for clues like a pro! Rainier was dropping ‘accidental’ hints everywhere. Liking the page and posts from a jeweler she mentioned? Check. Saving screenshots of engagement rings on his phone? Double-check! Then came that moment when he teasingly pointed out how Camille was practically a detective, snooping through his photos and social media like it was her full-time job. With a laugh, he said, “Wag ka mag-alala, nasa kapatid ko yung resibo ng singsing.” And just to fuel her curiosity further, he casually suggested she get her nails done before they left for Japan. The anticipation was almost too much to handle! With all the buzz swirling around, she just knew something big was on the way!

DETECTIVE DIARIES: THE HUNT FOR THE RING

When they landed in Japan on December 29, 2023, her hopes shot up. She just knew each day could be 'the' day. Her mind raced with possibilities: maybe during this trip, her birthday in two weeks, or even Valentine’s Day! Every scenario cranked up her excitement—surely, a surprise was just around the corner. On the night before their DisneySea adventure, Rainier jokingly said, “Dapat mukha kang Disney Princess bukas.” That simple remark sent Camille’s heart racing, building her excitement for the day to come. On New Year's day, they reached Tokyo DisneySea and Camille was brimming with excitement. After one exhilarating ride, he led her to a spot where they had taken photos earlier, saying he wanted to recreate that moment. Her heart raced—this had to be it! As they posed in front of the iconic Mount Prometheus, he suddenly dropped to one knee. But then he froze! In the heat of the moment, he completely blanked out. He didn’t even manage to ask the question. Staring up at her with a smile, Camille accidentally blurted out, “Thank you!” while he was still kneeling. The best part? She was fully prepared—she had even brought ring spacers just in case the ring was too big! They burst into laughter at the hilariously awkward moment, realizing that despite the mix-up, everything felt perfectly right. It was silly, sweet and uniquely them—a memory they both would cherish forever.
