In 2013, Raissa and Justin met through a mutual friend while going to Cal State Fullerton. As the years went by Raissa and Justin lost touch, but little did they know they would reunite in 2019, being in the same cohort at Azusa Pacific University's Doctorate of Physical Therapy program.

During their three years at Azusa Pacific University's Doctorate of Physical Therapy program, Raissa and Justin spent every day together as study partners. As each day went on, their relationship grew from friends to best friends, which ultimately evolved into something more. Raissa and Justin spent all their time together at school and outside of school slowly falling in love. By the time they graduated in 2021, they were officially together.

Laguna Beach, California (June 17th, 2023)

On Justin's 28th birthday, Raissa gave Justin the best birthday gift a man could ask for... a "YES", when asking for her hand in marriage. After a birthday dinner celebrating Justin and his sister Elyzza's birthday, Raissa and Justin drove to a hillside in Laguna Beach where they had their first date. While overlooking the ocean, Justin got down on one knee, and Raissa answered the most important question Justin could ever ask her with a "YES!"
