If you're traveling with an American passport, or most European passports, you can purchase a visa upon arrival for $25. For Jordanian and Palestinian citizens, it will depend on the type of passport you hold. Please check with your country's Egyptian Consulate or Embassy for specific requirements to obtain your Visa to Egypt. PS - Make sure your passport is valid for AT LEAST 6 months after your trip ends! You will likely be denied entry otherwise.

Uber/Careem is the best option. The next best option would be to coordinate a ride or taxi with your hotel. Taxis are generally safe throughout Cairo but could be a hassle to deal with (won't have exact directions, may not turn the meter on, etc.). In general, expect to spend much less than you'd think on transportation; an average trip is only a couple dollars!

It is best to arrive two days before the wedding (April 10th) to accommodate for any travel mishaps. As for leaving, that all depends on your schedule, but Cairo has many activities and sights to be seen! Catch a couple extra days in the ancient city if your schedule allows, there's lots to explore! If not, feel free to travel on April 13th, just expect to have sore feet from a night of dancing!
