The photo that altered the course of history as we know it. We met the traditional way, on November 25th, 2023, on Hinge. Ross swiped up on this photo of Kali and said "That cat looks like trouble." He was correct. While meeting online can be taboo, we both agree that God could not have picked a better person for the other.

We didn't take any photos together on our first date at Messenger Coffee. However, we did take this masterpiece of a selfie on our second date, which included dinner at Lula's Cookhouse and drinks at Taps on Main followed by a Christmas Party at Ross' friends apartment.

Due to being long distance with Ross in Wichita and Randi in Kansas City, we didn't take many photos early on. We quickly learned to cherish the limited time we had together, including our night together at med school prom.

On weekends where it didn't make sense for either of us to travel the distance to the other, we would meet halfway in Emporia for the day. At the end of this date, Ross after 15 minutes of driving with pure regret, called Randi and told her to turn back around. He couldn't let another second go by without confessing his love for her. We first said "I love you" in a random parking lot on this day.

Full weekends together frequently include home-cooked steak dinners together. The star of the night is often not the delicious food, but the intentional (Ross) and humorous (Randi) conversation shared.

Despite coordinating two wildly busy schedules and long-distance, we have somehow managed to travel the country together. Nashville, TN. Celebrating Randi's brother, Jordan's 30th birthday.
