Wyatt and I had unknowingly been crossing paths for nearly two years. We attended the same truck meets, followed each other on social media, and were even at Lone Star Throwdown on the same day. But God had a different start to our story, so lets back track to May 22, 2022.
That day, at a graduation party, my best friend Jazzy and I decided to clear out our Snapchat feeds by sending messages to everyone on our lists. What started as a spontaneous and silly idea took an unexpected turn when people actually responded—Wyatt being one of those people. He sent a picture to both of us, but here’s the funny part: Jazzy opened hers to see “Hey Randi,” and I opened mine to see “Hey Jazzy.” It was the perfect icebreaker. We spent the afternoon exchanging small talk, but the real surprise came later that evening when I got a video from Wyatt. Curious, I opened it to find a clip of his buddy throwing a dart… at his own hand.
Three days later, I decided to take the leap and ask him to hang out. What I didn’t know at the time was that he still needed permission… yes, permission to go out! Thankfully, it was granted, and we planned our first date at McDade Park. The evening did not disappoint, as you can tell. We spent hours walking the trails, talking about everything from life to his “passion” for frisbee golf. Every moment felt so natural, and there wasn’t an ounce of silence that laughter didn’t fill that night. The connection between us was undeniable, and from that day on, we knew we had something special. It was the start of an unbreakable bond and the beginning of our forever.
