A Tale of Two Cities and One Love

Picture of A Tale of Two Cities and One Love

It all started with a swipe on Hinge, but little did we know, it would lead to a lifetime of love and laughter. After two months of late-night phone calls and endless conversations, we finally met in person...at In-N-Out Burger of all places! I had just landed in San Francisco, and it was the closest place to my hotel. (Secretly, it’s my favorite fast food spot!)

Our first official date was something truly special. A 10 hour day trip to Santa Cruz filled with adventure and laughter. We enjoyed lunch, played mini golf, spent time at the arcade, rode the gondola, and ended the day with a cozy dinner before making a quick stop to charge the car. Fitting, since Nick driving an electric car in California is the perfect metaphor for him!

At the time, Nick was living in San Francisco, and I had made a big jump to move there for work. But in a twist of fate, just a week after I arrived, he packed his bags and moved to Dallas. For a year, we quite literally switched places, navigating long distance with patience, love, and way too many FaceTime calls. Eventually, I made my way back to home, where our next chapter truly began.

Nick proposed on his birthday, surrounded by my entire family at my sister’s house. Proving once again that he is so selfless and knows how to make a moment unforgettable.

What do we love most about each other? I’ll start! I adore the silly faces he makes when I start to get mad, they always make me laugh and remind me not to take life too seriously. And for Nick, it’s my selflessness. My willingness to help anyone, anytime. (Though sometimes, I think he loves my nieces and family even more than I do!)

Now, we can’t wait to celebrate the start of our forever with all of you. Our wedding will be a romantic and elegant evening, full of love, laughter, and the people who mean the most to us. See you there!
