Ceremony Details

Transportation

We will have a free shuttle bus that will transport people to and from the ceremony. This will depart at 1:00pm sharp from The Rochester Hotel (726 E 2nd Ave, Durango, CO). We want this to be a party bus, so feel free to bring food and drinks of your choosing for the drive.

It is strongly encouraged to use the bus, as parking at the Little Molas Lake trailhead is extremely limited due to being a public trailhead. However, if you prefer to have your own vehicle, feel free to drive yourself and arrive by 2:00 pm sharp.

About the Ceremony Site

In typical fashion, the ceremony site is an approximately 5-10 minute walk down the famous Colorado Trail! With this in mind, please be mindful of your attire and footwear; heels will be impractical, but flats, wedges, and boots will work. The ceremony site is in a high-altitude environment, so be prepared for uneven terrain, possible mountain weather, animals, etc. Restrooms are located at the main trailhead, but there are no other accommodations. In addition, this is located on National Forest Land and as a result, we are guests here. Please be extremely respectful of the nature around you as well as others who are enjoying the scenery. Leave no trace, pack it in, pack it out, and leave it better than when you came.

Additionally, due to the nature of the ceremony site and our guests, we will only be providing a limited number of chairs for folks who would like them. Please let us know if you would like to have a chair available for the ceremony.

Dress Code

The Welcome Dinner is casual! The venue is primarily outside, so be prepared for cooler weather in the evening.

The ceremony will be mountain chic. We’ve created a public Pinterest board (below) for your reference so that you can see inspiration for what this is! However, our main priority is for you to be comfortable and since we are celebrating outside/will be walking on an easy trail, we recommend practical shoes (flats, boots, wedges, etc.) and appropriate layers.
