Adrian and Raquel's love story began during their high school years, when they first crossed paths in band class. Raquel, a sophomore at the time, and Adrian, a year ahead, quickly became close friends. As they spent months enjoying time together with friends and exchanging texts, Adrian asked Raquel on a first date to go hiking at Miller Springs Park. Not too long after, on April 12th, 2015 Adrian asked Raquel to be his girlfriend, to which she was happy to say yes!

Adrian & Raquel continued to date throughout high school and eventually attended both junior and senior prom together!

The summer after Raquel graduated from high school, a puppy was dropped off at her job. Raquel volunteered to watch the puppy for the week and wasted no time introducing him to Adrian. Unable to resist that sweet face, Adrian quickly asked if he could adopt the puppy and that's how Mumford, the couple's beloved dog, came into their lives!

In 2017, Raquel moved to College Station to attend Texas A&M. The couple lived an hour and a half apart, but Adrian was so supportive and wasted no time coming to visit Raquel on the weekends, even becoming an honorary Aggie himself!

Meanwhile, back in Temple, Adrian had attended the Fire Academy, finding his passion in the field. He happily accepted a position with Temple Fire Department and began working as a firefighter!

Throughout their time being long distance, Adrian and Raquel supported each other in every opportunity they could. This picture is when Raquel received her Aggie ring, and of course Adrian was there to celebrate with her!

A few months after Raquel graduated from Texas A&M, Adrian and her took a two-week camping trip to celebrate! They traveled from Texas up to New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah exploring Zion and Arches National Parks. It was their first solo vacation as a couple and it cemented their love of traveling together.

In August of 2022, Raquel finally moved back to Temple to pursue her Masters degree and the two were SO happy to no longer be long distance. To celebrate, Adrian and Raquel decided to go on their first international trip together to Riviera Maya, Mexico! After 7 years together, Adrian planned the most beautiful private beach dinner (that was rained out and moved inside), and asked Raquel to marry him- to which she could not have been happier to say yes!!!

Fast forward a few years, Raquel finished her MBA at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and, of course, Adrian was there to cheer her on!

Now, Adrian and Raquel are eagerly planning and getting ready for their wedding! Raquel has started a new job at a digital marketing agency called PMG and Adrian is continuing his career at Temple Fire Department. Almost 10 years into their relationship, Adrian and Raquel are so ready to take this next step and can't wait to spend the rest of their lives together, cheering each other on.
