I saw a confident, silent-strong man with a handsome smile, a soft laugh, and jokes so bad they somehow made everything sweeter. He saw a bright, bubbly woman with a laugh that filled the room and a mind always reaching just a little farther. And God…

God saw two hearts He planned to shape into something beautiful. He is the planner—measured, steady, carrying life with intention. I am the wanderer—ready for the unknown, trusting the story even when I can’t see the page.

But beneath our differences, God placed the same desire:

the longing for US. Not just a place, but a haven—

where peace rests, where love covers, where family gathers, and where we can simply be.

Our path has not been without storms. We prayed our way through COVID, held our breath beside hospital beds, wondering if our child would see another morning. We have hurt one another, stretched thin by misunderstandings and unspoken hopes.

Yet through it all, God kept whispering that broken pieces can become beautiful mosaics in His hands. We stand here today not because the journey was perfect, but because we surrendered “US” to the One who is. And He returned us to each other—imperfectly perfect, grace-covered, two souls learning to stretch, to forgive, to grow in ways only love can teach.
