Our Wedding

In early 2018, Raven and Kyle connected on a dating app, with Raven taking the first step to start a conversation. They quickly discovered a shared passion for music and decided to meet in person not long after. Raven vividly remembers spotting Kyle and being struck by how different he looked from his photos—but in the best way. That night, they danced for hours, and over the next several weeks, their connection deepened, leading to the start of their relationship. Although they lived in different cities when their relationship began, with Raven in Toledo, they made it work by traveling back and forth to spend time together. Not long after, Raven secured a job in Detroit, bringing them closer together and the start of a more serious relationship. Over the years, they built a life filled with shared passions—exploring new places around the world, savoring great food, and creating countless memories together. In 2020, they took the next step and moved in together, solidifying the strong foundation of their relationship. In June of 2024, Kyle and Raven found themselves in the enchanting town of Vicchio, Italy, surrounded by the rolling hills of Tuscany. During a quiet evening walk before dinner, Kyle knelt and asked Raven to spend forever with him. It was an intimate and magical moment, a memory they will cherish forever. From their first meeting, sparked by a shared love of music, to the countless adventures that followed, their journey has been one of love, growth, and connection. Now, as they prepare to begin this new chapter, they are filled with gratitude and excitement to celebrate their love with the people who mean the most to them.

Since there’s a home Michigan game on our wedding day, we highly recommend booking your room as soon as possible. If you’re only staying for Saturday night (September 13th), we suggest booking at the DoubleTree for guaranteed early check-in.

Complimentary shuttles will be provided to and from the venue from both hotels. Please note that each hotel will have only one shuttle departure to the venue, so it’s important to be ready and on time. Due to a U of M game ending around the same time, traffic may be heavier than usual — we strongly recommend arriving early to the pickup spot before the shuttle departure time. If you miss the shuttle, you will need to arrange your own transportation to the venue. Parking is available on site for those that prefer to drive. DoubleTree Hotel shuttle will depart at approximately 3:30 PM.Webers Hotel shuttle will depart at approximately 3:45 PM. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
