Ben and Raven-Lee met while attending the wedding of mutual friends! Ben found himself at Raven-Lee's table chatting away with instant sparks! After going back to his table, one of RL's friend's leaned over and said, "you know he was flirting with you, right", but RL indeed did not realize it. Friendly or flirty, it led to RL talking with one of her roomates who's fiancé knew Ben from work. Through much scheming and planning, a group of the sweetest friends planned volleyball meet ups and game nights so Ben and RL could get to know each other. Next thing you know, Ben was telling RL that he thought she was cool then asked if she liked pizza and if he could take her on a date! For the following week, the two found any excuse to meet up in group settings before their first date.

Their first date was at Hall's Pizza Kitchen where they shared a cheese pizza because Ben is a gentleman and RL was a very picky eater. We ended the evening with mini golf and bananagrams (which RL dominated in)! It was such a fun evening and the couple were shocked at how easy it was to talk and spend time with one another! That night, RL sat down to debrief with one of her roommates and her response was "you're going to marry that man". No pressure Ben!!! A week later, the two were officially dating and the rest is history!

On May 25, 2025, Ben worked with RL's closest girlfriends to plan the most perfect proposal. RL was woken up by Justin Bieber's "One Less Lonely Girl" blaring through her house, brunch with her best friends, and walking through a bible study over Ruth. Ben came to steal her away and take her out to a beautiful picnic where he asked Raven-Lee to marry him. It was a no brainer, YES!!! The couple ended the evening surrounded by friends and family as they celebrated the start of this next chapter in their lives.

Now they get to add another date to the calendar and celebrate with the rest of you!

For Ben, the last year has been the best of my life, full of countless goofy laughs from the most wonderful woman! The more time I've spent getting to know Raven-Lee, the more I fall in love with the way that she cares for others - especially her kinder kiddos at Ranchwood! She has a great impact in the lives of everyone who is lucky enough to meet her! I cannot wait to marry you Raven-Lee Renee Westbrook!!!

For Raven-Lee, it was such a fun year getting to know Ben, his friends, his family, and his heart! If you know Ben, he is intelligent, goofy, wise, and so servant-hearted. His knowledge of the Lord and desire to know more is encouraging! I cannot wait to marry Benjamin Babb!!!!
