May 16th, 2022, First time speaking since meeting through an ex coworker of Corey’s and my ex. A two hour phone call that turned into a friendship. Neither of us really care to talk on the phone, so when we both realized how long we had been talking… we knew something was there. Whether that be a best friend or something more. 

Fast forward to August 5th, 2022…
The first night we hung out. The place it all began, Miles Road, Dallas. After about an hour of hanging out in the building we went inside and Corey got to meet Athena and Mama Brew. They of course adored him and his attention. 😂 
It was already pretty late at this point, figured we would watch a movie or something. But this is the moment I realized this was something unlike I had ever experienced. We sat on opposite sides of that big ass king size bed and talked until 6:00am. Almost 8 straight hours of conversation, no awkward silence, no pressure or anxiety, just us two in that moment. 
Corey ended up staying the night and we haven’t spent a night apart since. 

We have so many good and bad memories of Miles Road. For example, it’s the place we built our friendship and relationship, welcomed Finnley, learned so much about one another, raised chickens, spent many, many hours playing and watching Farm Simulator on Xbox 😂
But we also mourned the loss of Mama Brew, Our sweet baby boy Hudson Michael Ward, several chickens, had some of the lowest times and cried a lot of tears. In that time on Miles Road, we learned how to love and understand one another. And for that, I wouldn’t change anything. 

We have now lived 5 different places together, went through hell to get to where we are now for sure. But we both have found unconditional love, support, safety and home in one another. 🤍
