How To Get Here

Getting to the UK is a long flight that usually requires a layover. Flights to the UK are overnight flights which usually leave MSP or ORD (or any US airport) in the evening and they arrive the following morning in the UK.

MANCHESTER

The biggest and closest airport to Doncaster (where the wedding is) or Rotherham (where Molly lives) is Manchester Airport (MAN). It is a 1 hour and 15 minute drive when traffic is light. There are daily flights on Delta, Virgin, KLM and Icelandair from MSP and ORD. We highly recommend using one of these airlines or a British airline.

If you arrive in a large group, we will try to organise group transportation for you from the airport. However the trains here are frequent and reliable. Trains can also be used for travel around the UK. We suggest using the National Rail website. http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/

LONDON

You may want to fly in and out of London as this is usually cheaper and you can get direct flights from MSP. However, it is a much longer journey up north to Rotherham/Doncaster once you arrive in the UK. It is 3-4 hours by car. If you do fly into London there are buses and trains to get you to Yorkshire. Buses are cheaper. Trains are much quicker. The fastest trains get you from London King's Cross station to Doncaster in as little as 1.5 hours.

OTHERS

There are smaller regional airports that are close as well and these may be useful for trips to Europe before or after the big day. These airports are Leeds-Bradford or East Midlands. Manchester airport is a little farther, but has the most flights to the most destinations.
