Raynee and Brandon met at Singing for Standards, an annual serenade between their fraternity and sorority. Raynee and Brandon knew of each other through friends and had hoped this was the night they would meet in person. Previous attempts to run into each other had failed. Initially, Brandon wasn’t planning on going to the party and Raynee had a night class. Against all odds, Brandon made a last-minute decision to go and Raynee skipped her class in hopes of finally meeting. As soon as Raynee walked into the party, she saw Brandon waiting by the front door and they locked eyes. Raynee decided to play coy and walked past him. Not too long after, Brandon followed and found Raynee eating a bag of goldfish. He asked, “what are you eating?” and she responded, “Goldfish!” Brandon told her that he also brought snacks to parties in case of emergency hunger. She rolled her eyes in disbelief until Brandon pulled out a bag of fruit snacks from his pocket. That was when they realized they were soulmates. It was love at first snack.
