During this weekend, there is also the Texas Monthly BBQ Fest in Lockhart. If you arrive on Saturday, it would be a fun experience to wander the small town and eat good bbq!

With a few small surrounding towns, and Austin only being 30 minutes north of Dale, there are many opportunities to explore and eat some good food. You can't go wrong with Chilantro, Cabo Bobs, or anything in between. Just stay away from Maudie's (you'll get some on Sunday)!
