Planning Your Visit
Where should we stay?
Please see the Travel tab of our wedding website for recommendations regarding lodging. Richmond is a short drive from Lexington KY, Winchester KY, and the surrounding areas. We strongly encourage an Air BNB for a more authentic Kentucky experience! There are also plenty of hotels in the surrounding areas.
Who should I bring?
Your invitation will indicate invited members of your party, this includes your date, plus one or children. Children of immediate family members may attend and this will be indicated on your wedding invitation. We ask that you RSVP for all members of your party who will be attending.
What do I wear?
The attire of the event is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Think of your Sunday best! Suit jackets are optional but preferred. Ladies please refrain from wearing white!
Where are you registered?
We have elected not to have a traditional wedding registry. We are blessed to be combining homes and do not have the need for many of the traditional items included in a registry. Instead, we would love for our friends and family wanting to bless us to contribute to one of our registry funds. Please see the registry tab of our wedding website for more information. Funds include: SOZO Church Outreach Ministry, Honeymoon Fund and Furniture Fund. If you feel more comfortable providing a physical gift, we have a small registry on Amazon.
The Ceremony
Can I take photos?
We kindly request that the ceremony be unplugged, and you do not take photos or videos during the ceremony or recessional. This is to allow our photography team to have uninterrupted photos, and for our guests to enjoy the most important part of our day! We encourage you to take photos and videos during the social hour and reception!
Please share these with the bride and groom.
When should we arrive?
We ask that guests arrive to the venue NO LATER than 3:30 PM to allow for seating prior to the ceremony which will begin at 4:00 pm.
How do I get there?
The ceremony and reception venue is located at 919 Charlie Norris Rd., Richmond, KY, 40475. There is ample parking and handicap access. We recommend reserving an UBER prior to the event if you plan to consume alcohol for assisted transportation.
Inclement Weather Plan
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony space is covered and the reception is indoors.
The Reception
Following the ceremony we invite guests to join us for a social hour on the patio. This will be followed by a reception in the barn. Our wedding venue is conveniently located on one properly, with handicap accessibility and climate controlled environment. We hope you will enjoy, and look forward in sharing our special day!
Food?
We will serve light appetizers during social hour immediately following the ceremony. This will be followed by dinner at the reception. If you have any dietary restrictions please let the bride know ASAP.
Will alcohol be served?
We will plan for light adult beverages such as wine/beer and seltzers to be available for our guests. We invite you to enjoy your evening in celebration of our marriage, keeping in mind our goal to have a family friendly atmosphere for our special day.
