Reagan and Graham met by way of happenstance in the spring of 2013. Reagan, the ever planner, was already prepping for her graduate school applications despite not having started college. Graham was closing his last day as an intern at Redmond Regional Medical Center before graduation and starting their now shared careers as an occupational therapist. Reagan shadowed Graham’s clinical instructor, and afterwards, the three shared a lunch.

Fast forward a few years… Graham was working, Reagan still observing but this time another clinician for those ever important hours for graduate school. Luckily for Graham, he was at the same clinic on the same day. Reagan noticed Graham’s familiar face, and for that, Graham is forever grateful.

Again, more years pass… Reagan was taking a gap year before starting grad school. She remembered that guy from Rome and that he was always looking for some help around the clinic. She reached out to ask if they needed some help before she started her graduate studies. Once more, Graham was in luck because there was an open tech position which meant the two would finally spend more than passing hours together.

One more year… The two worked together for the better part of a year before a global pandemic relieved Reagan of her work duties. This came to pass in perfect timing. The two started to spend time together outside of the clinic, where they realized without one another was no way to live. Because of federal restrictions, the two spent dates outside, regularly sharing to-go meals from Brooklyn Cafe and Taqueria del Sol as a picnic in any park that would host them. They walked hundreds of miles nearby Graham’s apartment up, down and around the Chattahoochee before Reagan left for grad school in Augusta.

Together… the two were a force no distance could conquer.

Many trips back and forth down I-20, the two explored Augusta and made it their own. It didn’t hurt that Reagan lived nearby Augusta National. A walk by the gates on Washington and Berkman Roads, hoping a lost golf ball would trickle down Rae’s Creek, was a requisite field trip every time Graham was in town.

More time together meant trips together and countless weekends in Blue Ridge or date nights at home over a Papa John's pizza and bottle of wine. In time, Graham knew this was the one that he wanted to be with forever. It took him long enough… Back to the Chattahoochee, where the two went on a familiar walk in May. Before turning around to come back to the car, Graham “dropped” (sort of – Reagan had to help him down because they were on the side of a rock face) to a knee. Reagan said, “yes” and the two walked back to their car where their family and friends were waiting for the newly engaged couple.

Reagan and Graham cannot imagine being happier than they are now and are looking forward to celebrating their wedding with their closest family and friends.
