Reagan moved to Virginia Beach from Indianapolis in March of 2021 for her job.

Two short months later, Reagan was working at her company’s annual picnic when she met Josh’s mom and stepfather. Josh’s stepfather Chess was insistent that Reagan meet his single step son and wouldn’t let up until she agreed to give him her phone number to give to Josh. She finally agreed.

One week later, Josh called Reagan per his step father’s instructions. (WHO CALLS PEOPLE ANYMORE?!?)

Reagan wasn’t ready for this very obvious set-up so she blocked his number and expected to never see him again.

Until 2 months later … when Josh and his brother Zach showed up to the restaurant where Reagan was hosting another work event. Josh introduced himself and Reagan had to pretend like she didn’t totally dodge his call months earlier. The conversation was awkward to say the least.

They left it at that. Assuming there was no connection there.

One month later, Josh and his family show up to another one of Reagan’s work events. (Obviously these people love a good cocktail hour). Josh’s mom invited Reagan for drinks after the event and given her wildly lacking social calendar, she agreed.

Great conversation and lots of cocktails led to plans for the next night to meet for dinner. Which was equally as fun and natural.

After that night, for weeks Reagan would go out to her car and have a note and sometimes flowers or coffee from Josh expressing his feelings. (HOW OLD SCHOOL).

They spent almost every weekend together, first as friends, before they realized they were slowly falling for each other.

Almost one year later, Josh decided to take Reagan back to the place he met her and ask her to spend the rest of his life with him.

& she said yes.
