They met in May of 2023. Reagan’s family was visiting Athens one weekend while she attended college at UGA. David’s dad, having known Reagan’s dad for many years, invited the Wilson family to go to the Crumleys church with them on Sunday and to grab lunch afterwards. The point of this was to let David’s dad and Reagan’s dad catch up on all the years they had spent apart and for their families to meet each other. David talked to Reagan at lunch and saw something in her. Reagan had a deep feeling that their paths would one day cross again. Fast forward to July of 2023, David follows Reagan on social media and sends her a message. They start talking and become boyfriend and girlfriend by August 19th of 2023. They knew right away that they were meant for each other, but something was looming in the distance that had them both a bit hesitant. David would soon deploy with the Army National Guard, and they would have to do long-distance for 11 months. That did not stop them from being together. David returned from deployment in November 2024. They had talked about getting engaged, but knew they needed to wait, as David had just returned and needed time to reintegrate into American life. They mutually agreed that they were still in love, so David decided to propose in December of 2024. Reagan was shocked but knew that it felt just right. This is where it all began. God’s grace, mercy, love, and patience have shown deeply in their lives, and they are more than excited to share their special day with all of you.
