Michael and Reagan met at Iowa State University through their mutual friend Ben. Michael was a Junior at the time and Reagan was a sophomore. They instantly became friends and continued to grow their friendship over the school year. The summer and fall of 2021 Michael moved to Michigan for an internship, Reagan was so sad to see him leave but knew it would be a great career experience. The two did not talk much during that time but both hoped they would reconnect during the spring semester. When Michael came back to ISU it was clear that he had grown up quite a bit while he was away (he no longer had an eye brow piercing for one) and Michael and Reagan’s friendship continued as if no time had passed. The two quickly realized they wanted to be more than friends and started dating in the spring of 2022. Since then they have gone on several outdoor adventures, seen each other graduate from college, and grow in their love and respect for one another. Michael asked the big question on July 5, 2024 while on vacation at Acadia National park on a bike ride in Maine. It was an easy and obvious yes for Reagan. The two cannot wait to tie the knot exactly a year later at the Jasper Winery in Des Moines with their friends and family!
