Through knowing Rachel Sheltz, I grew up with Eric but never really knew him. So when we formally met in our adult lives, Eric was instantly obsessed with me. He told me about his entire life and shared secrets he had never told anyone. In oversharing with each other in our first moments of meeting, we formed a bond that I can’t explain. We’ve been inseparable since that conversation. Always watching, adoring, supporting and loving one another. We moved to Denver in 2019 and had so many adventures. In April 2022, I had to head back to Houston, while Eric stayed in Denver. We did long distance for 8 months and all the flying back and forth nearly killed me. I was ecstatic when we finally reunited in Houston in December 2022. We were so ecstatic that we couldn't wait to start a family!! In December 2023, my love for him deepened (I didn’t think it was possible) when I saw him hold our baby boy, Ramsey.
Loving Eric has brought me an unimaginable amount of gratitude. I’m tremendously grateful that a human being like Eric exists. He’s just the absolute best. So fun, hard-working, funny, smart (like really smart), kind, and strong. Okay, okay, so I’m obsessed with him too! I love this picture because Eric is often doing something silly and it just delights me! I’m incredibly proud of Eric and proud to love Eric. Ramsey will grow up watching real love and again, I’m just so grateful.
The year is 2018, the number one song in the country is Drake's "Nice for what", and Reagon instantly became obsessed with me.
When we first saw each other, I could tell she was giving me the eyes from across the room. We eventually started talking to each other and even though we were in a room full of people, we were in our own world. I was telling her about different diets based on your blood type, and she was enthralled (she still talks about blood diets to this day lol).
We started dating not long after that. We both had hectic schedules, but made as much time as we could for each other. That was until 2019, when Reagon applied, and got a promotion! It was amazing and also in Denver, Colorado. After only dating for a short while, we decided to move to Denver together ( She may have only accepted the job if I went with her). Moving to Denver was one of the best things for our relationship. We moved to a different city and had to learn to rely on each other, everyday.
Reagon was not the only one who went through drastic career changes while in Denver (she got another promotion while in Denver too!). I was able to apply and get into nursing school (finally, some might say). Reagon was able to support me a great deal while I dealt with the academic rigor required of nursing school.
The year is now 2022, Covid had truly ravaged my time in nursing school, but graduation was on the horizon. We started talking about what our future looked like, and we decided it was time to come back to the Bayou City. We had both missed too many celebrations and milestones while living in Denver. We felt forever grateful for our time in Denver, as it gave us time to really grow into our relationship, but our time in Denver would be over once I graduated in December.
One small problem, the only job available for Reagon to transfer back to Houston would need her there by April. So after some back and forth she accepted the job, and long distance became our life for the next 8 long months.
After many flights to Denver from Houston for Reagon (which she absolutely loved...jk, she hates flying). I finally graduated and was able to move back to Houston and reunite with my long distance lady and our friends and family.
The past almost 2 years back in Houston have been truly awesome. I was able to get my dream job, Reagon got another promotion and we, or should I say she, got pregnant.
She gave birth to our son Ramsey on December 13. And let me tell you, she gave birth to a good one. He is just the happiest, giggly baby. We love him so much. We love him so much so, that we had to go out and buy a house while Reagon was on maternity leave in early 2024.
And now we are set to be married in April of 2025.
I wanted to give a history of us in some detail, so that when I say, I love Reagon and I can't wait to marry her, you can see where it comes from. Reagon and I have been through a great deal together, and it has drawn us closer together every day. Now I get to see her work everyday to be the best mother, student (she is in a masters program now), and partner.
I can't wait to see what the next chapters of our story holds for us. I love you. Even though you are much more obsessed with me, I also may be a little obsessed with you too.
