Built in 1856, this three-story, 22-room Italianate mansion was said to be the most expensive private home in Illinois at the time. Tours of the mansion and it’s lovely gardens are offered daily excluding Tuesdays. The Reddick Mansion is located across the street from Washington Square Park, where the First Lincoln-Douglas debate took place in 1858.
