It all began on October of 2017 where Michael and Rebecca went out on their first date to Rock Lobster. With long talks and endless laughs (with margaritas included of course), it was a night that solidified that they had to hang out again.

In Rebecca’s point of view, she had fun hanging out with Michael. But due to past heartbreak, her guard was very high up and she made it very clear to Michael that she was not ready for a relationship due to being terrified of getting hurt again. Little did she know, Michael had a lot of patience and went at the pace that she wanted.

As date nights had gone on, having a good time, meeting each others friends, Michael was ready to have Rebecca as his girlfriend. However, she was not ready due to still being afraid of getting hurt and had declined to getting into a relationship. She was very confused and was unsure on what to do. So she called up her best friend Megan and asked to meet up at Kona Grill for some lunch and advice. Megan told Rebecca to make a pros and cons list to see what she liked and didn’t like about him. And to her surprise, there were no cons, and all pros. In that moment, she knew she had to take a leap of faith and to just go for it. So that same night, she asked him to go to dinner, and she asked him to be her boyfriend. With no surprise, his response was “I’ll have to think about it”, with a smile on his face. And ever since that moment, the rest is history.

7 years later, Michael and Rebecca have a beautiful home together in Gilbert, Arizona with their dog Kratos (who happens to be the favorite baby in the family).

On August 14th, 2024, Michael finally popped the question at home and asked Rebecca to marry him. 2 weeks later, a venue was booked for October 17th, 2025 and they’re both so excited to finally start this new chapter. 🤍✨
