We met back in May 2020. In common 2020 Covid fashion we matched online and started talking all day everyday. Matt was on a road trip and Becca was so smitten she kept him company during his travels as his facetime passenger princess. Once he got back to CT, Matt drove down to finally meet Becca and they went on their first (of many) ice cream dates. We hit it off instantly and started hanging out almost 5-6 days a week in Becca’s screened in porch until Chip decided it was safe (cause of covid) to let this stranger from the internet 😂 into his home. In June Matt made things official and asked Becca to be his girlfriend (mostly because Becca wanted to know how to introduce him at her birthday party😂)

After a long year of Matt driving his truck 45 mins 5-6 days a week after work to visit his lady, we decided to get our first apartment and give this next chapter a try. In November 2021 we moved into our place in Bristol. We loved living life together and learning how to care for each other in all different ways. After a year and a half we decided it was time for a switch (AKA Becca couldn’t do the stairs anymore🤕) so we came down to live in East Haven (shout out to Chip & Lillian for their basement)

MATT PROPOSED. Becca looks forward to her annual birthday party every year and in 2023 Matt said there would be a surprise this year. During the party, Matt snuck off to pick up surprise number 1 - Becca’s bestfriend and maid of honor Aimee 🥰 Becca was so excited and caught of guard because Aimee was going to be “out of town” (LIAR) that she wasn’t able to come to the party. Per usual Becca screamed and ran to Aimee, by the time she brought Aimee around the party to say hellos to the family Matt was looking all cute and suspicious the he said he had another surprise then BOOM down on one knee he goes. As we all know Matt’s not a public speaker (unless Jack Fire is involved) but once he asked Becca that simple question, it was the easiest yes ever.
