Our Wedding

Both Luke and Rebecca were living in Charlotte, NC, and working with the Mecklenburg EMS Agency. Luke picked up a mandatory overtime shift and who was his partner, but Rebecca! After several additional overtime shifts over the course of several months, Rebecca mustered up the courage to ask Luke out! Shocked at her boldness, Luke of course said, "Yes!" Their first date was passing out Halloween candy to trick-or-treaters in Luke's neighborhood and enjoying Luke's homemade soup afterwards. They quickly fell for each other, knowing that Luke had previously committed to a new job in Crested Butte, Colorado and would be moving just few short months later. Long distance dating is the true test of a relationship, and quickly proved that Luke and Rebecca were meant to spend the rest of their lives together. Since graduating from Paramedic school in Charlotte, NC while supporting her young pitbull son Papi as a single mom, Rebecca has finally joined Luke out in Crested Butte, as they build their new life together. Luke and Rebecca are so excited to welcome their friends and family to their new home state and to officially begin their new life together as husband and wife.
