Our Wedding

Our&nbsp;story...&nbsp;where&nbsp;to&nbsp;begin.&nbsp;&nbsp;Let's&nbsp;take&nbsp;you&nbsp;all&nbsp;the&nbsp;way&nbsp;back&nbsp;to&nbsp;August&nbsp;2007.&nbsp; First&nbsp;day&nbsp;of&nbsp;high&nbsp;school.&nbsp;Rebecca&nbsp;walked&nbsp;into&nbsp;the&nbsp;cafeteria&nbsp;at&nbsp;Shawnee&nbsp;Mission&nbsp;East&nbsp;High&nbsp;School,&nbsp;spotting&nbsp;her&nbsp;friend&nbsp;Micheala.&nbsp;She&nbsp;decided&nbsp;to&nbsp;sit&nbsp;down&nbsp;at&nbsp;this&nbsp;table&nbsp;of&nbsp;strangers,&nbsp;not&nbsp;knowing&nbsp;that&nbsp;these&nbsp;strangers&nbsp;would&nbsp;turn&nbsp;into&nbsp;life&nbsp;long&nbsp;best&nbsp;friends.&nbsp;She&nbsp;spotted&nbsp;this&nbsp;boy&nbsp;with&nbsp;super&nbsp;curly&nbsp;brown&nbsp;hair&nbsp;and&nbsp;blue&nbsp;eyes.&nbsp;"Damn,&nbsp;he's&nbsp;&nbsp;real&nbsp;cute..." Fast&nbsp;forward&nbsp;a&nbsp;few&nbsp;days,&nbsp;Cole&nbsp;is&nbsp;walking&nbsp;out&nbsp;of&nbsp;his&nbsp;first&nbsp;ever&nbsp;high&nbsp;school&nbsp;pep&nbsp;assembly&nbsp;when&nbsp;he&nbsp;spotted&nbsp;this&nbsp;girl&nbsp;he&nbsp;didn't&nbsp;know&nbsp;walking&nbsp;with&nbsp;his&nbsp;friend&nbsp;Micheala.&nbsp;Her&nbsp;brown&nbsp;hair&nbsp;and&nbsp;green&nbsp;eyes&nbsp;caught&nbsp;his&nbsp;attention,&nbsp;and&nbsp;he&nbsp;thought&nbsp;"wow,&nbsp;she's&nbsp;really&nbsp;cute...&nbsp;I&nbsp;wonder&nbsp;who&nbsp;she&nbsp;is." The&nbsp;year&nbsp;long&nbsp;flirting&nbsp;game&nbsp;started,&nbsp;continuing&nbsp;even&nbsp;while&nbsp;Rebecca&nbsp;thought&nbsp;she&nbsp;should&nbsp;date&nbsp;a&nbsp;different&nbsp;guy.&nbsp;Until&nbsp;finally,&nbsp;November&nbsp;24,&nbsp;2008,&nbsp;while&nbsp;hanging&nbsp;out&nbsp;in&nbsp;Cole's&nbsp;driveway&nbsp;waiting&nbsp;for&nbsp;Rebecca's&nbsp;parents&nbsp;to&nbsp;come&nbsp;pick&nbsp;her&nbsp;up,&nbsp;he&nbsp;asked&nbsp;her&nbsp;to&nbsp;officially&nbsp;be&nbsp;his&nbsp;girlfriend. Three&nbsp;and&nbsp;a&nbsp;half&nbsp;years&nbsp;passed.&nbsp;These&nbsp;years&nbsp;were&nbsp;filled&nbsp;with&nbsp;good&nbsp;times,&nbsp;hard&nbsp;times,&nbsp;challenges,&nbsp;and&nbsp;love.&nbsp;We&nbsp;decided&nbsp;to&nbsp;give&nbsp;it&nbsp;our&nbsp;all&nbsp;for&nbsp;college,&nbsp;but&nbsp;distance&nbsp;and&nbsp;scheduling&nbsp;made&nbsp;it&nbsp;too&nbsp;difficult,&nbsp;and&nbsp;we&nbsp;decided&nbsp;it&nbsp;would&nbsp;be&nbsp;best&nbsp;to&nbsp;take&nbsp;a&nbsp;break.&nbsp;This&nbsp;break&nbsp;lasted&nbsp;the&nbsp;rest&nbsp;of&nbsp;our&nbsp;college&nbsp;days,&nbsp;but&nbsp;we&nbsp;never&nbsp;really&nbsp;stopped&nbsp;loving&nbsp;each&nbsp;other.&nbsp; October&nbsp;2014,&nbsp;after&nbsp;running&nbsp;into&nbsp;each&nbsp;other&nbsp;and&nbsp;speaking&nbsp;for&nbsp;the&nbsp;first&nbsp;time&nbsp;in&nbsp;a&nbsp;year&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;Royal's&nbsp;World&nbsp;Series&nbsp;game&nbsp;7,&nbsp;we&nbsp;started&nbsp;talking&nbsp;a&nbsp;bit&nbsp;more&nbsp;frequently.&nbsp;Maybe&nbsp;a&nbsp;bit&nbsp;too&nbsp;frequently.&nbsp;We&nbsp;stayed&nbsp;up&nbsp;late&nbsp;talking&nbsp;over&nbsp;breaks&nbsp;in&nbsp;Kansas&nbsp;City,&nbsp;talking&nbsp;about&nbsp;our&nbsp;families,&nbsp;our&nbsp;individual&nbsp;dreams,&nbsp;and&nbsp;eventually&nbsp;how&nbsp;we&nbsp;still&nbsp;cared&nbsp;for&nbsp;one&nbsp;another.&nbsp;This&nbsp;all&nbsp;led&nbsp;up&nbsp;to&nbsp;May&nbsp;9,&nbsp;2015.&nbsp;Cole&nbsp;and&nbsp;our&nbsp;friend&nbsp;Drake&nbsp;adventured&nbsp;up&nbsp;to&nbsp;Kirksville&nbsp;for&nbsp;Rebecca's&nbsp;college&nbsp;graduation.&nbsp;That&nbsp;night,&nbsp;with&nbsp;a&nbsp;little&nbsp;help&nbsp;from&nbsp;friends&nbsp;and&nbsp;tequila,&nbsp;we&nbsp;decided&nbsp;we&nbsp;both&nbsp;wanted&nbsp;to&nbsp;try&nbsp;again. Now&nbsp;almost&nbsp;4&nbsp;years&nbsp;later,&nbsp;we&nbsp;have&nbsp;grown&nbsp;together&nbsp;and&nbsp;learned&nbsp;how&nbsp;to&nbsp;adult&nbsp;together.&nbsp;We&nbsp;have&nbsp;learned&nbsp;what&nbsp;it&nbsp;takes&nbsp;to&nbsp;support,&nbsp;communicate,&nbsp;and&nbsp;love&nbsp;one&nbsp;another&nbsp;through&nbsp;any&nbsp;challenge.&nbsp;We&nbsp;got&nbsp;a&nbsp;dog&nbsp;(light&nbsp;of&nbsp;our&nbsp;lives),&nbsp;moved&nbsp;in,&nbsp;traveled&nbsp;the&nbsp;world,&nbsp;and&nbsp;now&nbsp;we&nbsp;get&nbsp;to&nbsp;say&nbsp;"I&nbsp;do"&nbsp;in&nbsp;front&nbsp;of&nbsp;all&nbsp;the&nbsp;people&nbsp;that&nbsp;have&nbsp;supported&nbsp;us&nbsp;and&nbsp;helped&nbsp;us&nbsp;get&nbsp;to&nbsp;this&nbsp;point,&nbsp;and&nbsp;we&nbsp;could&nbsp;not&nbsp;be&nbsp;more&nbsp;excited!

Fairfield Inn by Marriot is only a few blocks away from El Torreon KC and only about a 10 minute drive to Immanuel Lutheran Church!&nbsp;These blocks are good until one month before the wedding, so make the reservations prior to that to get the block discount!Complimentary shuttle is available to each guest, and it runs every thirty minutes until 11pm!

Fairfield Inn by Marriott Kansas City Downtown/Union Hill

Sheraton at Crown Center is right in the hussle and bussle of downtown, making it easy to get to various restaurants, the street car, the ceremony location, and the reception! There will be a shuttle that will be available to get to the reception and back to the hotel from the reception! Times and details of the shuttle will be available closer to the wedding date!Please book by November 1 to get the group rate!
