We first met each other during freshman orientation at Crown College. Initially, we were involved in the same friend group - but once reality hit at school and as the busyness of life progressed, that friend group slowly drifted apart and we lost touch. More than 3 years later, Dan reached out to Becca through an Instagram message and we set plans to catch up over coffee. That date lasted for 3 hours, and it's been history ever since!

For the majority of our relationship, we have been fortunate enough to not have to deal with being long distance. During the summer of 2023, Dan had accepted a position in Omaha, Nebraska while Becca was still living in Minnesota. Over the weekends during the course of those few months, Dan would frequently make the trip back to visit Becca. One Friday night, (with the help of one of Becca's best friends, Brianna) Dan made a surprise visit while Becca and Brianna were out and about with my dog, Lola. We got home, turned the lights on, and there was Dan in the living room, down on one knee!
