Our faith in Christ has come first in our relationship and will come first in our marriage. The closer we are to God, the closer we are to each other.

Neither of us had a strong sense of faith when we first met 10 years ago - as Rebecca rushed past Scott in the gym parking lot - so if we had started dating then who knows where we might be. God has his timing and it meant 8 years of waiting for each other.

Reintroduced by friends (thanks Clay and Kathie!) in 2022 it was the answer to at least one of our prayers. And here we are today, strong in our faith and stronger with each other.

"Every cliche proposal option ran through my head. I was certain it was the night he was going to propose. Would there be a ring in my glass of prosecco? In the ice cream? Would he get down on one knee in the middle of the restaurant?" None of that happened, Scott proposed (down on one knee) in our future home at the end of the evening. It was perfect for us.
