Our Wedding

It all started in Ames, Iowa. Sean was a busy graduate student, getting ready to defend his PhD. He was a frequent squatter at a local coffee shop in town, Cafe Milo, having spent 'nearly every day' at the coffee shop, reading papers and vigorously writing his thesis. Rebecca had taken on a temporary job working at the coffee shop just after completing her masters degree. A dear friend to both of these two, Carter Foughty, had also worked at the coffee shop and had grown to know both Sean and Rebecca, and had a brave notion to ask Sean if he thought Rebecca was cute, which Sean instantly responded with Yes! And with that, a beautiful love story unfolded. Sean asked Rebecca out after her last shift at Cafe Milo, and they both went out for coffee (at another coffee shop). Sean also quickly learned that was a good decision, because Rebecca's mantra is 'coffee is life'. And the rest is history! Thank you so much for celebrating our special day with us! We are excited to see many friends and family, and we appreciate how many of you who have traveled far to be here to celebrate with us!

Please make sure the webpage says "We're showing Harken Kelly Wedding rates" so that you get the special booking price! We will keep adding rooms to the wedding block if they sell out. Alternatively, you can call the hotel and let them know you are looking for a room for the Harken/Kelly wedding and get the special booking price.

The Rewind West Des Moines, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

The Rewind Hotel by Hilton shuttle is available from 6:00am – Midnight for airport pick up and individual requests within 3 miles. Individual shuttle needs should be booked 72 hours prior by contacting the front desk at 515-309-3900.
