Becca’s Point of View:
I had tried online dating several times before over the years and had met some interesting people. I had vented my frustration about the lack of eligible bachelors at church to my friend and esthetician Rachel. She sent me an ad for the Christian dating ap Upward. I didn’t sign up for it until a couple of months later in January. I had been on it for about a week, when Jay and I matched!!! I remember seeing his profile and thinking he was “soooo cute” and I loved that he had a dog. We started to chat and continued talking for the next several weeks. Over that time, we covered all of the important topics and were on the same page with what we believed. God guided us to move forward and we had our first date on February 3, 2024! We sat and talked for 4 hours while my mom and sister would peek in on us from time to time to make sure I was ok! I got in the car after our date and cried because I knew he was different. On March 2,2024, he asked me to be his girlfriend and the rest is history. I’m so thankful to be able to look back over our relationship and see God’s hand in it all!!! I knew very early on that he was THE ONE!!!!

Jason’s Point of View:

I was pretty much at rock bottom after a lot of failed attempts to find love and companionship. Losing faith fast that I ever would.
I kept praying and seeking God in those moments and He would say not that one and saying just wait a little bit longer...Im working on it. Doubt filled my heart sometimes I will admit. But then one day I matched on this app I was trying out and something just peeked my interest about her. When we started talking it seemed we had a lot of things in common and would have long conversations. On the day we would meet February 3rd 2024 I found all my anxiety and fear was absent...and this peace came over me. A peace I could not explain. When I first saw her I was awestruck. She looked way more beautiful then her photos. She was a little shy at first but revealed her goofy side after a while. It caught me right away and stayed with me when the date was over. Time flew by as we talked for hours, laughing together, and sharing stories. When it was time to go...she didnt know how to say goodbye...and asked to give me a hug. In that hug...an instant spark set my heart on fire...and my attention was immediately drawn to her from then on.
When she asked to be my girlfriend a few dates later....I didnt second guess it. I knew I was falling for her...and the best part was she was falling for me too. The more time we spent together and conversations we had the more we realized God working in our relationship and revealing his plan. Everything has been completely natural and effortless between us.
God kept his promise and saved the best for last. He blessed me with my soulmate...at long last...and I am totally in love with her.
