Our Story

One Swipe Later

Picture of One Swipe Later

It all started with a swipe right…

From the very first message, sparks flew between Becca and Braden. What began as playful banter on Hinge quickly turned into late-night conversations that neither of them wanted to end.

When they finally met in person, the chemistry was undeniable — the kind of connection you feel instantly, deep in your chest. One look, one smile, and they both knew something special had begun.

Soon after, Braden met Miko — Becca’s fiercely loyal rescue pup known for being skeptical of strangers (especially men). But when Miko’s tail wagged for Braden, Becca couldn’t help but smile and think, “Okay… this guy might really be it.”

From there, their love story unfolded effortlessly. They survived quarantine side by side, turned Chicago summers into memories on the water, spent cozy weekends in Wisconsin, and shared countless moves, milestones, and holidays — always hand in hand.

Together they’ve weathered every storm and celebrated every sunrise, including Becca’s courageous fight through cancer. That chapter only deepened their bond — a love built not just on laughter and adventure, but resilience, tenderness, and unwavering devotion.

Knowing Becca’s heart belongs to the mountains, Braden planned the ultimate surprise. With Colorado’s crisp air and breathtaking views surrounding them — and Becca’s family close by — he dropped to one knee at the top of Vail Mountain. Her answer was instant, her smile brighter than the snow beneath their feet.

Now, they’re ready to begin the next chapter of their story — celebrating their forever in a place that captures everything they are: wild, passionate, and endlessly in love.

Welcome to Vail

Welcome to Vail!

We are so excited to celebrate with you in one of our favorite places! Vail holds a special place in our hearts — Becca grew up coming here every summer with her family, and over the years it’s become a destination filled with memories, adventure, and charm. Braden knew how much Becca loved Vail and its where he proposed to her on August 15th 2025.

In the fall, Vail’s beauty truly shines — the air is cool and fresh, the mountains are painted in golden aspen leaves, and the pace feels perfectly relaxed. You’ll find incredible restaurants, cozy fireside lounges, scenic gondola rides, and plenty of outdoor activities for every interest. If shopping is your thing, Vail won’t disappoint — the village is lined with charming local shops and luxury boutiques.

We hope you take a little extra time to explore, unwind, and enjoy everything this mountain town has to offer. The weather can be unpredictable this time of year, so pack layers and be ready for cool mountain mornings and crisp evenings.

Most of all, we can’t wait to welcome you to Vail — to share the beauty, the joy, and the memories that make it such a meaningful place to us. Thank you for traveling to celebrate our wedding; your presence here means the world to us.

Mountain chic is a refined yet rustic, "elevated casual" style suitable for mountain weddings and events, balancing comfort with sophistication. Think flowy midi/maxi dresses, tailored denim or wool trousers, chunky knits, and functional-yet-stylish leather boots in earthy, rich tones. The goal is to look comfortable in nature while maintaining a chic edge

Cowboy/Cowgirl boots are welcome :)

Ideas for the Ladies

Dresses: Midi or maxi lengths in floral prints, fall colors, flowy fabrics

Layering: faux fur wraps, leather or denim jackets, or wool shawls.

Footwear: Block heels, ankle boots, or western-style boots.

Accessories: Statement belts, turquoise jewelry, hats

Ides for the Men

Suits: Opt for textured suits in materials like tweed, corduroy, or wool in brown, charcoal, or navy.

Casual Approach: Dark or black denim or chinos paired with a tailored button-down shirt, or blazer.

Accessories/Footwear: Leather boots, bolo ties, or patterned pocket squares enhance the look, western hat or boots
