In 2018 Aaron and Rebecca met at college. They got to know each other better since they both had kinesiology class together (which was just an ice skating class) They went on their first official date December 2018 to the ice skating rink at PPG Place.

In January 2024 they went back to there first date spot to ice skate and Aaron asked Rebecca to marry him. She said YES! They set a date (June 14 2025) and the wedding planning began!
