Our Wedding

August 22, 2020... A Day that will forever be etched in our minds. Finally meeting face to face after many texts and correspondence on the cliche bumble app. Discovering initially that we shared a common love for God, and for others, yet not fully discovering just how in tune our lives actually were until we sat down at the fountains that night in Carmel. We had an additional commonality having both come from a healthcare background, yet our lives had been touched in different ways by a prominent pediatric neurosurgeon. Dr. Turner had made significant changes to our lives, in the case with Rebecca as a patient. Secondly serving as a mentor to Alexander who had shadowed Dr. Turner for several years. The more we conversed, we quickly realized our paths had actually crossed a few times and it became clear we had more in common than we thought.&nbsp; Spending more and more time together we found we meshed very well and could start to see a promising future together as a couple. As time progressed, we started building a strong relationship foundation finding clarity through Godly principles and in our maturity. At year one, Alexander presented a promise ring to Rebecca, a token of intent to further work on and continue building up strong relationship foundation. Making time for one another and sharing life together has been a great joy the past few years. Even with all the turmoil that the pandemic brought to light, we stayed strong and flourished nonetheless.&nbsp; Soon into our 3rd year together, Alexander realized it was time to take the relationship to the next level. Since we share a love for the mountains and thoroughly enjoy our trips to Tennessee, Alexander wanted to make the engagement as special as Rebecca deserved. Alexander had a strategic plan to ask for Rebecca's hand in marriage at the top of the Alum Cave Bluffs but ran into some hiccups on the first day with the trail being flooded with hikers and all the parking lots full. Alexander had to play it cool making sure Rebecca didn't find the ring box while moving bags to and from the vehicle.&nbsp; The next day, Friday, September 15th, became another day that will forever be etched in our memories. Making it to the top of the Alum trail at the Bluffs after a few hours of hiking early in the morning, the sun started to shine on us and it was time...time for the all-important question. Alexander sent Rebecca up ahead of him on the trail for a few paces with a GoPro camera and told her to film the Bluffs. When she turned around, initially thinking he was tying his shoe, Alexander snuck out the ring box and presented it to her asking for her hand in marriage!&nbsp; She said YES!!!
