This Lounsbury House watercolor, and all artwork for our wedding, was custom made for us by our dear friend Jen Russo!

Our wedding will be held at the historic Lounsbury House in the heart of Ridgefield, CT. The house was built in 1896 by the former CT Governor Phineas C. Lounsbury. He saw the Connecticut State Building while while at the Chicago World’s Fair and loved it so much he had a replica built for his family to live in!

The Morning After - Breakfast

Rebecca and Roy would like to invite all of our overnight guests to join us for breakfast Sunday morning! A complimentary continental breakfast will be served in the Hotel Essex Room A from 9-11 am The newlyweds would to see you once again before leaving for their mini-moon!

Covid 19

To attend our wedding we require you to either have a complete Covid-19 vaccination series or a negative Covid-19 test result within 72 hours of the wedding. If you are already vaccinated you do not need to be tested!

Please be prepared to show proof of one of these requirements as you arrive - just a picture on your phone of your vaccine card/test result is fine!!

The Town of Ridgefield has removed the indoor mask mandate for vaccinated individuals! If you are vaccinated you are no longer required to wear a mask at our wedding! If you are unvaccinated please continue to follow the state requirement of wearing a face mask indoors when not actively eating or drinking.

We are very pleased to report a high percentage of our guests are vaccinated! However, please stay home if you're feeling unwell the day of the wedding, regardless of your vaccination status.

We love and adore each and every one of your children, but our wedding is respectfully an adult only event. We want to see your dance moves without your fear of embarrassing your children!

Rebecca and Roy originally met through the dating app, Bumble. Rebecca sent her first message to Roy (unknowingly) on his birthday in 2019 and she likes to joke that it was the best birthday present he's ever received! Their first date was 5 days later in downtown Middletown (at Hop Knot) where they sat and talked for about 4 hours! They continued to see each other frequently after that. They both realized early on in the relationship that this was something special. They took their first vacation together to Iceland in February 2020. At that time, the fears surrounding the Covid-19 virus were minimal and the United States was only starting to get its first cases. Things started to get more serious in the US and things began to close just after they got back from their trip. It was an easy decision to follow the stay at home orders and quarantine together. Rebecca thinks she would have gone crazy being home by herself, Roy thinks he would have been OK talking to no one for weeks on end. Either way, they are both grateful that their relationship only grew stronger through the worst of the pandemic. Roy proposed to Rebecca on Friday August 7th, 2020. He enlisted their dog Penny's help by tying the ring to her collar and getting down on one knee after telling Rebecca that there was "something weird on her collar." Rebecca was so surprised and taken off guard that she initially assumed Roy was kidding and was 'practicing' for his real proposal and thought the ring was plastic (it's not). Roys favorite memory of that moment was when Rebecca didn't know what to do and just kept repeating "what are you doing?" over and over again. They are both overjoyed to have found someone with whom sharing their life seems so easy and natural, and they can't wait to see where else their journey takes them And the rest, as they say, is history.

I met Russo freshman year of high school in band and we've been best friends ever since. We see each other as often as we can despite the fact that he lives in Georgia now.

I met Justin freshman year of high school in Spanish class. Over the years we've bonded through both video games and CrossFit.

Saumya and I met through work around 2015 when I moved to the research & development team in Medtronic. He was (and still is) a valuable coworker who showed me the ropes and we quickly became friends because of our love of craft beer and good food.

Dan and I met through mutual friends of Russo (best man) and spent a lot of time together before he moved down to Texas. I don't see him as often as I'd like but a value his outgoing nature and our spirited conversations.

Brian is the unfortunate soul married to my sister. I think he is one of the kindest and most genuine guys you'll ever meet and you can always count on him for good restaurant recommendations!

Bridesmaids

Sarah-Kate is my younger sister and I couldn't imagine getting married with anyone else as my maid of honor. She is the funniest person I know (just ask her!) and she makes everything I do with her so much more enjoyable (no pressure, but hopefully her maid of honor speech reflects this)! I'm so thankful for all her advice and strength she's provided me through the years and I'm so grateful to call her my favorite sister

Ashlyn and I met working in the emergency department at Saint Raphael's Hospital. I've called Ashlyn screaming from joy and full of tears (and every emotion in between) and somehow she always knows what to say. She has been on 'team Roy' since the very beginning of our relationship and would constantly remind me not to mess it up.

Suki and I also met through working in the emergency department and we quickly became friends and travel buddies. We've been to Thailand, New Orleans, and Cancun together -  just to name a few. Suki has a way of being both bluntly honest but uplifting at the same time. She's so dependable that she's likely who I'd call if I ever got arrested and needed someone to come bail me out of jail.

I joked to Roy before he introduced me to his family that he shouldn't do it unless he was prepared for them to love me more than they loved him - I'd like to think that came true with Chrisanne! She welcomed me into the family with open arms and I honestly couldn't imagine a better future sister-in-law! I always enjoy her company, advice, and delicious food!

Maddie is Roy's cousin and I was warned that she was 'a lot' before I met her. I think that was an accurate way to describe her - she's got a lot of energy, a lot of love, and she's a lot of fun! I appreciate her never ending enthusiasm and willingness to be help in any way possible!

Jon is the husband of one of Roy's best friends, Devin. He's the kind of guy that would give you the shirt off your back if you needed it. When he graciously offered his justice of the peace services to us we couldn't say no. We are so excited to have our officiant be a personal friend and someone who's witnessed our relationship grow!

We have a room block through the Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury. It is about a 15 minute drive from the Lounsbury House and we will be providing transportation to and from the venue at the beginning and a few different times throughout the evening - Please see the transportation tab for more details.
