Some people meet at coffee shops. Others lock eyes across a crowded room. We met while gigging for frogs in the middle of a swamp.
Yep, nothing says romance like mud, mosquitoes, and amphibians. It was August 2022, and we found ourselves at a mutual friend’s party-turned-frog-hunting-adventure. Somewhere between the frog calls and the questionable footing, sparks started to fly.
After talking all night (and realizing neither of us got eaten by swamp monsters), Cole decided to make his move… by asking my best friend—who was also his boss—to give me his number. Bold move. Respect.
Our first date was at Two Travelers in Garrettsville, and honestly? We haven’t looked back since.
Fast forward to now: we’ve got a house, a shared love of snacks and sarcasm, and our fur baby Piper, who completely runs the show. She’s spoiled, sassy, and very much the boss of us both.
And as for us? We’re still chasing frogs—just figuratively this time.
