Arrive in Iceland

You can fly, you can fly! Arrive at either Keflavik Airport or Reykjavik Airport. Reykjavik Airport is closer to the hotel, but international flights often land in Keflavik.

You are welcome to rent a car for your stay, or you can arrange to have round-trip transportation transfer from the airport to the hotel. See Travel & Transportation for more details.

We will check in to the hotel, relax, catch up with each other, and explore the walking trails and beach nearby.

In the evening we will have a Welcome Dinner at Blik Bistro.

Snorkel in Silfra with Dive Iceland and Horseback Riding with Laxnes Horse Farm

In the morning - early afternoon we will snorkel/scuba dive in the Silfra Fissure between the tectonic plates in crystal clear water.

Snorkeling requirements/suggestions: You must know how to swim! There is a medical form that must be filled out in advance. More details to come on this. All participants over the age of 60 must have the form signed by their medical doctor to provide medical clearance them for them to participate in the activity. They recommend wearing long thermal underwear under the dry suit and as well as warm clothes for before and after the activity. The form can be found here.

The cost of snorkeling is $105 but may fluctuate slightly, depending on the current conversion rate.

In the afternoon we will go horseback riding! Icelandic horses are unique in that they have a 5th gait pattern called the Tolt, which is not found in any other breed of horse in the world.

UPDATE: There is room for 20 people to participate in horseback riding. If you wish to participate in horseback riding, please let us know ASAP to secure your spot!

Horseback riding requirements/suggestions: Wear close-toed shoes and clothes that are windproof or waterproof, depending on the weather. There is a weight limit of 240 lb.

The cost of horseback riding is $105 but may fluctuate slightly, depending on the current conversion rate.

Note: Groups of 6 people at a time will snorkel at a time, and each of the groups will be spread out by a few minutes at a time. People wishing to complete horseback riding in the afternoon will be in the first groups to snorkel in the morning.

Blue Lagoon and Lava Tunnel with Arctic Adventures

In the morning Arctic Adventures will pick us up from the hotel and take us to the famous Blue Lagoon, where we will soak in the mineral waters of the hot spring.

Next stop we will explore Raufarhólshellir, a tunnel/cave made from flowing lava!

Arctic Adventures will take care of transportation for the day.

Due to the high popularity of the Blue Lagoon, we are hoping to provide Arctic Adventures with our final numbers by April. If you are unable to commit in April, we understand, but we may not be able to include you in the reservation for the Blue Lagoon at a later date, depending on availability.

The price for the day is $196-275, depending on how many people join us.
