When Kyle and Rebecca first met in the spring 2017 semester at University of Mary Washington, neither of them knew how important they would become in each other’s lives. It was in this History of Biology class where Rebecca first sat behind Kyle and thought he was incredibly charming, handsome, and intelligent. Kyle was a bit thickheaded at the time and thought the girl sitting behind him was entirely too cheery and found that her enthusiasm could get on his nerves. They chatted here and there, and even said after their final that they wanted to hang out the following semester. Oh if they only knew what lay in store in the future for their relationship. By the start of the fall semester at UMW, Kyle had already forgotten about his plans to meet up with Rebecca. When Rebecca reached out to Kyle and offered to meet at Spirits for a drink, Kyle was very hesitant, but with some healthy ribbing from friends Kyle worked up the courage to accept the offer. Kyle and Rebecca really hit it off and decided to go to the Rappahannock River to fish the following weekend. It was on this first date of sorts that Rebecca caught her first (and last) fish, infuriating Kyle as he dismissed it as beginner’s luck. Ever since this date by the river Kyle and Rebecca have been inseparable, supporting each other through several career changes, post-undergraduate classes, a global pandemic, and everything in between. Their love has stood the test of time and after six wonderful years the couple has decided to say their I do’s. Please join us for a celebration of their love.
