Rebecca and Franklin first met for what she thought was going to be a quick coffee date. To her surprise, Franklin brought a chocolate mousse cake to celebrate her birthday the next day. That simple coffee outing turned into six hours of walking around town, laughing, and getting to know each other better.

After returning from a trip to Texas and listening to Franklin’s playlist of country music, Rebecca gifted him a keychain from her travels-and that’s when Franklin asked her to be his girlfriend!

Rebecca and Franklin’s first vacation together was a camping trip that started with setting up their tent in the pouring rain. Rebecca also got to see Franklin’s grad school stomping grounds since it was the neighboring town.
