How we met

Serendipitous timing brought us both to Colorado in 2018. Becca moved home to Broomfield following the completion of her undergraduate degree at Northeastern University and Austin managed to convince the Navy to move him to Denver. The internet forged our initial connection and we had our first date on 5/29/2019 at River North Brewery in Commerce City, of all places.

Our Story

We were inseparable after that. In the summer of 2019, Becca helped Austin move into the house he bought in Clear Creek County and we made the house a home by adopting our first dog, Timber. Our first couple of years of dating were filled with adventure which included trips to Moab and the Grand Canyon, backpacking in Colorado, many days on the slopes, concerts at Red Rocks, adopting a second dog (Moose), and a lot of quality time with both of our families.

In 2021, Becca was accepted to a Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at The George Washington University in Washington D.C. We moved across the country and spent time in the nation's capital, bringing Austin closer to home in Montoursville, PA.

In April of 2023, Austin planned a surprise with some of Becca's PT school friends. On that rainy Saturday afternoon, we went to Belleview Winery in Northern Virginia to "meet up with friends". Instead, Austin asked her to marry him where she was surrounded by her friends and completely surprised. In the summer of 2023, we moved and spent a few months adventuring in Alaska while Becca finished her second clinical rotation. By the time of the wedding, we will be back in Colorado where we plan to stay and continue to build our lives together.
