When Scott first&nbsp;met Rebecca, he was a jeans-and-a-t-shirt kind of guy, but for their first date, he put on a suit to take her to a restaurant in downtown South Bend. They took a taxi there, and upon seeing how dressed up they were, the taxi driver asked if they were celebrating their anniversary. This was about 5 minutes into their first date, so it was extremely awkward at the time, but little did they know how right she was! They have now&nbsp;celebrated 6 anniversaries of&nbsp;that first date on February 4, 2012.

Scott and Rebecca have become experts in long-distance relationships over their time together. When Rebecca studied abroad in Dublin in 2013, it marked the beginning of almost 5 years of living in different cities across the United States. They both started at Notre Dame, but since then, they have lived in 11 cities altogether, inspiring the wedding hashtag #11citieslater.









On May 29, 2016, Scott proposed at Notre Dame, where it all started and where they will be married. The wedding reception will also be held next door to the restaurant in downtown South Bend&nbsp;where they went on their first date. From the first date to forever!
